MEETING MINUTES
January 2, 2007
Meeting was called to order by Jon Sessler at 7:30 p.m.
Roll call was taken.

Treasurer’s Report
T. Brown reported a balance of $201.69.
Minutes
Minutes of the previous meeting were read.
Tournament Director Report
Ralph presented the following annual awards:
- President’s Aware – Phil Johnson
- Appreciation Award – Presented to Brian Henderson for all of his efforts and contributions to the Club.
- Angler of the Year – Phil Johnson
- Big Stringer – Ralph Lewis 18.36 lbs
- Recognition for the biggest weight for one day in a tournament – Holly Lewis 24.23 lbs.
Old Business
The Club discussed the Christmas party and it was voted to have the party after the Sammamish tournament.
The Club discussed the Sammamish Open Tournament.
- This is a good time to have the tournament because just coming off the Sportsmen Show.
- Advertise it on the NW Bass and Federation Bass web site.
- $125 team entry fee.
- Guaranteed $1,000 big fish.
- If we had 40 boats, it would bring in about $1,500 to the club with 80% payout.
- Ron Hobbs volunteered to demonstrate how to fizz fish.
- Ron also stated the Gary Stiles might offer up the trailer used at NW Bass tournaments at no fee.
- Need to secure permits yet. Jon stated that the Coast Guard said had to submit application for permit 130 days before the event. Jon said he would contact Coast Guard. Ron Hobbs stated that we also need a State Park permit too. Jon said he should have an answer the end of this week or next week.
- Big Fish pot money is coming from contributions of sponsors.
- Priestor agreed to let us use his booth to distribute fliers.
- Ron Hobbs said he would contact Daiwa who may donate raffle prizes.
- Agreed to move forward as it will boost the Club’s funds and have a good time.
- FLW covers liability if someone gets hurt.
- Agreed to have two large (3 ft) checks. One for Big Fish and 1st Place.
- Jim said he had a roll of raffle tickets.
The Club agreed not to move February’s meeting even though many members will be in El Salto.
New Business
Ralph reported that he has all the permits for next year’s tournaments.
It was reported that there is no camping available at Lake Chelan for our tournament. There was no back-up lake for Chelan. Camping availability at Chelan is going to be checked to see if other weekends around our tournament date are open.
